Don't get stuck on the one track of your life

Success happens

Hello everyone. There are a few different things I’d like to speak about today and hopefully some of this will make sense to you - being as this will probably look more like a personal journal with some strong lessons.

Quantum leaps

Quantum leaps.

Do you know what a quantum leap is?

A quantum leap as explained as a fifth grader is just a massive change in the direction of your life. Probably in the forward direction. An enormous breakthrough. A catapult in the right direction.

One of the saddest things about following your dreams is - How long it takes. Or, how

s l o w

the process is.

Like any young motivated person at the inception of an idea. For the most part, there is a period shortly after where you’re just on fire. You can do anything. Your idea is picking up real momentum faster than you could ever dream it. And you’re making serious waves in the attempting of materializing this idea

And then - NOTHING

Or to be kinder to it - 1% better

“If you just get 1% better everyday, youll be like 365% better at the end of the year” - Your annoying fucking aunt that just made a self help tik tok

My point simplified is that achieving success after setting out to follow your dreams takes a long fucking time. And on that path you will face intense amounts of calamity, tragedies, demoralization, embarrassment, not feeling enough, doubts, non confidence, tired, mood swings, up and fucking down god damn this shit is hard.

Or is it?

And does it have to take so long?

We’re about to find out

To transition this back to me. Jake Moscato. Handsome 6 foot 2. Athletic. Tan.

Sorry

I’ve been following my dreams ever since May 19th of 2020 when I picked up a camera.

And probably before that seeing as I was chasing a different dream. And succeeding at that dream of playing division one football.

Which took from age 15 - 21 to materialize.

So let’s just say I’m an expert at following dreams.

And I realized something very important about following your dreams this morning while reading a book called a happy pocket full of money.

Something that I’ve been disconnected to for a long time.

That I’m playing the game wrong

Sample dream timeline

Idea - followed by initial period of serious making shit fucking happen

And then everything stops

Work phase - you get the point. It basically just get’s really hard after the initial period

However

I’d like to look at a few moments of my life where there were MASSIVE QUANTUM LEAPS *I would add picture proof but don’t have my phone on me. Check my insta

  1. When I first picked up the camera

  2. When I met an influencer randomly in New York and moved to Miami to film Jake Paul, Gary V, Jordan Peterson, Steve Will Do It etc, on 100 foot mega yachts

  3. When I started The Journey Podcast

  4. When I did a 30 day social media detox last year. Logging out of instagram and logging back into instagram with 30 thousand more followers. Now over 500k across platforms

And when I look back on all of these quantum leaps. The way they happened was very simple

At each and every one of these moments of my life, rather than focusing on the materials of success - I was focused on

EXPANDING AND GROWING MY AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS

There are different tracks to life. Call it channels you can tune into. Like a radio

And lately I’ve been tuned into one track - the material career success track

And the material career success track looks like on a daily basis

Waking up and only giving a fuck about your career

Throw away everything else. Friends, Family, Fun, Meditation, Exercise, Travel, everything.

Just career.

Career career career

And do you know what happens. Nothing

Of course over time if you solely focus on one thing. That thing will grow.

But

Where are the quantum leaps?

I didn’t grow my social media following by trying to grow my social media following. I didn’t even have the fucking app installed for 30 days. It just happened.

I didn’t casually meet Gary Vaynerchuck, Jordan Peterson, Jake Paul, Logan Paul, on and on by trying to meet them. It just happened.

I didn’t try to become an amazing filmmaker. it just happened.

And I didn’t try to start a podcast. It just happened.

And the reason why all of these things happened because rather than focusing so heavily on the one track of my life

I let go

At each one of these moments. I was making space for God. I was reading - meditating - on healthy morning routines. Exercising running boxing, And maybe most importantly. Laughing. Having fun. Going to the beach, partying

I wasn’t stuck on one track of anything

  1. You set out to expand your consciousness & awareness by reading praying meditating journaling breath work yada

  2. From that spawns a curiosity

  3. You set out on that curious path and decide if it’s for you

  4. Once decided you follow it intensely

The 5th and final - just don’t lose what got you there in the 1st place.

There’s more to life than whatever it is that you’re solely focusing on

You don’t become successful by trying to become successful

Success happens

You don’t change by trying to change

Change happens
